Men of the Ondo state police command have arrested a 34-year-old man, Monday Chukwu, who was alleged to have st@bbed his friend, Kefa Ofando, to dath over N2,000 debt. Tribune reports that Chukwu and Ofando were arguing over the money when the argument degenerated into a fight between the two friends and Ofando was st@bbed by his friend in the neck at Akintola village in the Odigbo local government area of the state.  While parading the suspect before newsmen, the State Commissioner of Police, Oladipo Abayomi, said what started as an argument degenerated into the k!lling of Ofando.On the 20th of September, 2024, operatives of the Ondo State Police Command attached to the Odigbo Divisional Police Headquarters, acting on a complaint, swiftly responded and arrested one Monday Chukwu, a 34-year-old resident of Akintola village in the Odigbo area of the state.The suspect allegedly stabbed one Kefa Ofando, aged 30, to dath while discrete investigation revealed that the deceased had borrowed the suspect the sum of two thousand Naira.While demanding the money a few days later, it led to an argument, during which the suspect st@bbed the victim with scissors on his neck. He, however, said;Upon arrival at the scene, the crime scene experts recovered a pair of scissors, while a medical practitioner confirmed Kefa Ofandos death.Investigation is ongoing, and the suspect will soon be charged to court upon conclusion.
