Man nabs Facebook user for ₦5 million scam using father’s identity


A young man recently tracked down a social media user who had been using his father’s name to carry out a ₦5 million scam on Facebook, making him take part in the viral “I’m Not the Thief Challenge.”

The incident was shared by KosyTV on TikTok, showing the suspect being caught after being traced.

According to the post, the suspect had been impersonating the young man’s father to scam people, successfully defrauding someone of ₦5 million.

In the comments, the young man confirmed the situation, writing: “He scammed someone 5m using my father’s name.”

During the challenge, several participants denied being the thief before the main culprit stepped forward and admitted his wrongdoing.

Another video showed the suspect being picked up by the police.
