A Nigerian man has narrated how he discovered shocking details about a lady he almost married after using her phone number to look her up on an app.
The story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Thelovechild123, who revealed that he was on the verge of getting serious with the lady, even to the point of marriage.
According to him, she appeared very devoted, always going to church, and he had even built a relationship with her mother.
However, his perception changed when he decided to search her old number on an app, where he stumbled on private photos of her, including images of her smoking, drinking, and partying with different men on the island.
He wrote: “Telegram saved me! I remember meeting a young lady last year. She was an usher, always going to church, and very dedicated. We met, clicked, and she liked me.”
“She always called me, we prayed together, and even her mum would call me. I thought I was building something real until I checked her old number on Telegram. What I saw shocked me to the bones—nude pictures, videos of her smoking and drinking, living wild with single and married men.”
He added that at first he thought the content was AI-generated, given her church background, but after further investigation, he found out her nude videos had leaked, which allegedly led her to relocate from Lagos to Abuja to start afresh.
He concluded by advising men to properly vet the women they intend to date or marry, warning: “Dear men, check their Telegram! There is always something there.”
