Love triangles, villains, strategy collide as finale nears

The Big Brother Naija 10/10 season has unfolded like a soap opera, exploring strategy, rivalry, and romance themes.

From the opening night to the last eviction, the house has served as a stage for shifting alliances and tangled relationships, each storyline feeding into the bigger question: who will win the grand prize?

FIRST BANK AD

The 29 housemates who have delivered a season unlike any recent memory are at the heart of it all. The entertainers, Rooboy, Imisi, Koyin, Kuture, and Jason Jae, have brought both fun and fire, serving up lore, iconic fights, and meme-worthy moments that will outlast the season.

Koyin, Rooboy, and Kuture, Jason Jae have ruled the Saturday night parties, while Imisi’s refusal to back down in fights has made her a fan favourite.

Then there are the ships and triangles, with Dede, Mide, and Koyin engineering some of the season’s most chaotic plotlines.

Dede’s arc has been especially captivating. Her entanglement with Kola has swung between attraction and mistrust. Despite calling him two-faced, she has remained romantically linked to him in the house. Kola’s early complaints about her refusal to hug him on premiere night didn’t stop him from later admitting his feelings. Both have claimed their relationship won’t continue outside, but their on-screen tension fuels speculation.

Her dynamic with Koyin has been no less dramatic. Allies one moment and enemies the next, their friendship has been unpredictable, but they both seem to care about each other.

Koyin repeatedly insists that Dede is his best friend, though both housemates and viewers believe his actions suggest otherwise. His closeness to Dede has soured any relationship he could have built with Kola, who has mocked him publicly, amplifying the house’s love triangle drama.

Companionships, commitments, friendships

Koyin has also sought lighter companionship with Isabella, a ship more about cuddles than commitment. Similarly, Sultana and Jason Jae have built a casual but territorial bond.

Meanwhile, friendships like those between Rooboy, Mensan, and Koyin have offered warmth, balancing the house’s tensions with genuine connections.

Faith, on the other hand, has stepped into the villain role. Once seen as the calm, caring doctor, his explosive fallout with Imisi revealed a different side. Since then, he has thrived in controversy, standing out for his sharp edge, strategic gameplay, and dominance in tasks and Head of House challenges.

Imisi’s story has been no less layered. Struggling to find her footing, she has built stability in friendships with Isabella and Kola, even as her occasional clashes with Rooboy and Faith provided some of the season’s most heated and hilarious moments.

Other housemates carved identities in different ways. Kaybobo, embracing his chef background, built goodwill as the house’s resident cook. Zita, meanwhile, earned the reputation of a chaos agent.

Fans celebrated her blunt honesty and mischief, even though her strongest storylines lost momentum after the eviction of her love interest, Danboskid, and her close friend, Tracy. Still, her unpredictability made her a wildcard whenever tensions rose.

Finale week highlights

Jason Jae made his mark this week by becoming the season’s first and last Head of House. He chose Sultana as his guest in the Head of House lounge and will invite two more guests daily during the week.

Meanwhile, Isabella and Imisi have been tasked with rocking the snail outfits – a humorous punishment adding levity to the tense final days.

This was after the season’s last eviction show, which saw Mide, Rooboy, and Zita exit the game, trimming the numbers and cementing the top 10 finalists. Unlike previous seasons, BBNaija 10/10 will crown its winner from a final 10 instead of the usual smaller lineup.

Earlier that same day, Biggie orchestrated one of the most emotional highlights of the season. Disguised as an individual task, housemates were sent to the bedroom and called out one after the other, only to be reunited with loved ones in an unexpected twist. The emotional reunion came at a cost: Koyin had picked the red telephone and accepted Biggie’s deal of N4.5 million for the housemates to have this chance.

What’s the state of the grand prize? No one knows at this point. What is certain, however, is that the Big Brother Naija S10

Top 9 finalists are Dede, Imisi, Isabella, Jason Jae, Kaybobo, Kola, Koyin, Mensan, and Sultana.
