Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz has disclosed that the Reds are working hard to win games in the Premier League.

Liverpool have been struggling for results in the league this season and at the weekend played out a 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Sunday at Anfield.

Speaking with the club’s website, Wirtz stated that Liverpool are going through a ‘difficult’ period but remained upbeat.

“First of all, I was very welcomed by the team. It’s a very good team and I’m very happy to be here,” he said.

“Of course, the last weeks have been difficult for us as a team, but we are on a good way to come back.

“We are doing everything to come back and win games. We wanted the win today. We want to be on top of the table, we just have to continue and work hard. Hopefully things can change.”
