Liverpool Bounce Back To Winning Ways, Edge Aston Villa

Liverpool manager Arne Slot will heave a sigh of relief after the Reds defeated Aston Villa 2-0 in Saturday’s Premier League at Anfield.

The Reds came into the game having lost each of their last four league games and six of their last seven in all competitions.

Salah struck his 250th goal for the club, becoming just the third player to do that after Ian Rush and Roger Hunt, on the stroke of half time, after an error from Emi Martinez.

The host doubled their lead when Gravenberch, returning from injury, burst through from midfield, with his effort taking a deflection off Torres and into the visiting net on 58 minutes.

Liverpool claimed the win, much to the delight of the Anfield crowd and their manager, which provides a much-needed boost ahead of a week in which they face Real Madrid and Manchester City.
