Renowned businesswoman and influencer Laura Ikeji has shared her thoughts on the role of wives in relationships with individuals involved in internet fraud, commonly referred to in Nigeria as Yahoo Boys.

In an Instagram story on Saturday, the wife of Ogbonna Kanu argued that if these men are arrested, their wives should also be held accountable.

She asked her followers if they agreed with her stance, noting that many women happily enjoy the luxuries their partners provide but shy away when trouble arises.

The mother of three stressed that marriage is a commitment through good and bad times, suggesting that these women should be ready to face the consequences alongside their husbands, even if it means taking their luxury bags to jail.

She wrote, “Wives of Yahoo men should also be arrested when these men are arrested. Don’t you think so? Y’all enjoy with them but don’t wanna suffer with them?
It’s for better or worse baby girl. Go carry ya Birkin in jail”.
