Content creator Folorunsho Olayinka, popularly known as Finest, has disclosed that late comedian Adetola Samad, known as Sanku, purchased the 2012 Lexus RX 350 SUV involved in his fatal accident on credit, leaving N13 million unpaid to the dealer.

Sanku died on September 2, 2025, when his car plunged into a river along Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State. The incident was first shared on social media by actor Yemi Elesho.

Finest, who served as Sanku’s guarantor, said the comedian had planned to buy the vehicle for N25.4 million. Documents from JJ Motors Empire and Services Limited, dated June 5, 2025, show that Sanku made an initial payment of N7 million and continued installments until reaching N12.28 million.

“I only acted as guarantor because the dealer knew me,” Finest explained.

“I wasn’t involved in the accident. I even provided a driver at Sanku’s request and sent money for treatment to those at the scene.”

A friend of Sanku, speaking anonymously, revealed that the comedian was pressured to exchange the Lexus for a Nigerian-used Toyota Venza after he could not complete payment, leaving a balance of N2.3 million.
