The Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, under the auspices of the National EdTech Strategy Task Force, have appointed Prof Ibiyemi Ibilola Olátúnjí-Bello, the Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU) as a member of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) Integration in her capacity as the Chairman, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of State Universities (CVCSU).
This appointment, conveyed through a formal communication to the LASU elegant academic and administrative Amazon, highlights her exceptional leadership in higher education administration and her longstanding commitment to strengthening digital transformation across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
The inauguration of the reconstituted Governing Board will hold today, Friday, 28th November 2025, in Abuja, during the Mid-term Co-Creation Workshop, a strategic gathering convened to advance national efforts in educational technology, research infrastructure, and digital innovation.
The newly constituted Board will play a central role in driving Nigeria’s agenda for enhanced connectivity, research collaboration, and digital readiness across higher education.
