Lamine Yamal targets multiple Ballon d’Or wins

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal says he dreams of winning multiple Ballon d’Or awards as he continues to draw comparisons with club legend Lionel Messi.

Yamal, 18, is considered one of the frontrunners for the 2025 Ballon d’Or after an outstanding campaign in which he helped Barcelona win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.

If he’s named Ballon d’Or winner in Paris later this month, it would make him the youngest player to win the prize.

The teenager faces stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembele, who played a crucial role in the French club’s treble-winning season, including their first UEFA Champions League title.

Speaking on Jose Ramon de la Morena’s podcast Resonancia de Corazon, Yamal said: “I don’t dream of winning one Ballon d’Or, but I dream of winning many of them.

“I believe I am capable of achieving that, and if I don’t, it will be because I didn’t do things the right way.”

The winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or will be announced in Paris on September 22.

Meanwhile, Yamal is set to return to action with Barcelona against Valencia in La Liga this weekend after the international break.
