It was a day of fun and learning as members of Lagos Passionate Lions Club under the Association of Lions International, District 404B2 Nigeria, visited and empowered students from Floraview College, Alagbole, Lagos state.
In response to their monthly activity, the Lagos Passionate Lions Club had a Youth Empowerment Program which entailed: Hairstyling for male and female, culinary art and content creation.
At the event the President of Lagos Passionate Lions Club, Lion Uche Chigozie Okeke spoke about the program, “it is always a pleasure to see our young ones being empowered especially ones who are eager to learn. This we saw with the students and staff of Floraview College. They are learnt four different empowerment skills such as Culinary Art where they will had the opportunity to make sharwama among other snacks, they are learnt content creation which was amazing as the students had a lot of displays to show.They also learnt hairstyling for male and female. So they were divided into four groups and it’s been a wonderful time so far with them.”
“As the President of Lagos passionate Lions Club, I sincerely appreciate the dedication of our Youth Empowerment Committee and the unwavering support of our entire members. Your commitment, time, and resources made this program a resounding success. This is a testament to our shared belief that service to humanity is the best work of life.”
Also at the event, chairperson For October activity, Lion Steve Asinobi spoke on the importance of youth empowerment, “youth empowerment is part of the Lions Club global causes and aside from that youth empowerment is crucial for the development of the nation as a whole. With it societal challenges such as poverty can be eradicated and our youths go on to lead confident,active and fulfilled lives wherever they go.”
“So coming to Floraview College to share knowledge with the students was a wonderful experience to all of us in Lagos Passionate Lions Club as they displayed act of learning each skills thrown their way.’
“I appreciate my members who came out in mass to support me, also the administration of Floraview College who were absolutely wonderful.’
“So I hope the skills that the students have learnt today will serve as a compass as they proceed to find their path and passion in life.”
In conclusion, management of Floraview College appreciates Lagos Passionate Lions Club for their support and looks forward hearing from them again.
