In a move to build a world-class public service, the Lagos state government Wednesday launched a two-day executive leadership training programme for its civil servants.

The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Tertiary Education and the Rome Business School, Nigeria, aims to equip public servants with the skills needed to meet the evolving demands of modern governance.

The training, held at the Marriot Hotel, Ikeja, was formally launched by the Lagos state Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro.

In his keynote address, Agoro said the partnership reflects the administration’s commitment to “a public service that is efficient, forward-thinking, and globally competitive.”

He urged participants to use the opportunity to acquire the tools needed to lead at the highest levels of government and translate their new skills into tangible results.

The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule, reinforced the importance of the initiative, calling it a “critical investment in the future of the state.”
