He said, “A fatal RTA occurred at Loburo, opposite the RCCG camp along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway at about 08:48 hrs on Tuesday. It involved a Toyota Picnic Space Wagon with number plate BWR 181 BD and an unregistered MAN Diesel truck. Eyewitness accounts indicate that the driver of the Toyota Picnic rammed into a moving truck from the rear due to excessive speed and loss of control.”

“The injured victims were taken to the RCCG Hospital, while the deceased female victim was first taken to Famobis Hospital at Lotto by TRACE officials, where she was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty before her body was deposited at the OSUTH morgue by OGSAES,” he explained.
He further stated that TRACE acting Commandant General, Elias Omonayajo, expressed condolences to the deceased’s family and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
“While TRACE commiserates with the family of the deceased, motorists are again admonished to avoid excessive speed in view of its attendant consequences,” Akinbiyi concluded.
