The Education District II of Lagos state has officially presented letters of appointment to newly appointed principals, following a rigorous selection process aimed at strengthening leadership across public secondary schools in the district.
The event was attended by top education stakeholders and witnessed an atmosphere of celebration and commitment to excellence.
In his address, the Supervising Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), Mr. Olusegun Osinaike, commended the appointees for their diligence and dedication, describing their appointments as a “stepping stone to greater achievements”.
He urged the new principals to prioritise character, staff welfare, and the holistic development of their students while ensuring that government investments in education yield maximum impact.
“Congratulations on this feat you have achieved; it is not how long, but how well. The footprints of someone who spent a short period in service could be better than those of someone who spent a longer time,” Osinaike said.
“I implore you to add good character to your duties because your attitude will determine your altitude. Take good care of the welfare of your staff and students and do not neglect your health,” he added.
