The Chairman, Epe Local Government Council Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has assured residents of more developmental projects in transportation, agriculture, health, energy, culture, tourism, environment and other critical sectors.
She stated this in her office at Ita-Marun, Epe Local Government Council Secretariat, while playing host to a group, Epe Concerned Group (ECG), led by its state Chairman, Mr. Olayemi Toheeb Balogun.
Animashaun said her administration would redouble its efforts in all sectors, keying into the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration and working with the state government to bring prosperity to Lagosians and Epe indigenes.
Animashaun charged groups and leaders at the subnational and all levels to support the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government in ensuring that the dividends of democracy touch many Nigerians.
She said that the Epe Local Government is mindful of the shared responsibility between the state and local governments; therefore, her administration would redouble its efforts in every sector, setting the pace for the rest of the councils.
She also commended Epe residents for their resilience, even in the face of the current economic realities and epileptic power supply to the council, which she said were needed to put the nation on the right pedestal for growth.
She said: “We have Mr. President’s assurance that inflation will come down significantly soonest, that the cost-of-living challenges will be tackled with vigour, that there will be more money available for our people to spend through programmes aimed at reducing the cost of transportation and healthcare and increasing access to student loans, consumer credit, mortgages, and so on.
“A lot of work is going into agriculture, electricity, culture and tourism, and food security around the country, with the goal of affordability and self-sufficiency in the shortest possible time.
