The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos state is witnessing a remarkable increase in new members, with thousands of Nigerians joining the party.
Mabel Oboh, the Director of Communications for ADC Lagos, in a statement stated that the party’s local government chairpersons are diligently updating party registers as new membership numbers continue to grow substantially.
According to Oboh, “The response has been tremendous and overwhelming”.
“Our Local Government Area Chairpersons are working tirelessly to update the party registers with the new members, and we are thrilled to see such enthusiasm and interest in our party’s ideology and vision for Lagos.”
The LGA chairpersons have been keeping Lagos state ADC chairman, George Ashiru, informed about the success of the membership drive across all ADC local government areas and ward levels.
“We are fully engaged in welcoming new members into the party,” Ashiru remarked.
“Our message of inclusivity, progress, and good governance is resonating with the people of Lagos, and we take pride in the number of Nigerians joining our family.”
Oboh emphasised that the party’s grassroots mobilisation efforts have been effective, with many individuals expressing dissatisfaction with the current political landscape and seeking a better alternative.
“The ADC is seen as a fresh and viable option, and people are eager to be part of a party that prioritises the interests of the public,” she explained.
Furthermore, Ashiru, the articulate Chairman of the party in the state indicated that the influx of new members reflects the party’s growing popularity in Lagos State.
“We are not surprised by this response, given our commitment to good governance and people-centric policies,” he added.
Ashiru also stated that as the party continues to grow and strengthen, it is evident that the ADC is becoming a significant force in Nigerian politics.
“With its vision for a Global Lagos and dedication to good governance, the party is poised to make a lasting impact on the state’s political landscape”, the Party’s director of communications declared.
