All routes led to Alapere, Ketu-Lagos last Saturday as family, friends, church members, associates, proteges and beneficiaries gathered to celebrate a major milestone in the life of Lady Evangelist (Mrs.) Elizabeth Folasade Adebayo who clocked 70 on October 15 at her birthday reception.
The atmosphere was filled with love, laughter, fond memories and a lot to chew, eat and drink.
The celebrant who is the Director of Evangelism, C.A.C. Deliverance District Ketu Lagos, is a mentor, influencer, catalyst, and a gospel music artist of no mean feat with several albums to her credit.
She was beaming with smiles full of praises to God who has not only made the day possible, but made it to come to reality in her life. Hence, with joyful noise, drama, melodious songs, the celebrant, her guests, and well-wishers had to rejoice in it.
Many well-wishers paid glowing tributes to her.
Pastor Philip Adewumi in his tribute, described the celebrant as a prayer warrior who likes to turn people’s weeping to laughter and sorrow to joy. A woman who makes praise/worship her daily lifestyle. A destiny lifter and a unique, generous woman to all and sundry.
According to Deaconess (Dr.) Florence Adetutu Oni, the celebrant who is fondly called ‘Mama Dasiwa’ through one of her songs, is not just an Evangelist, a prophet, but also an artist.
“A lover of God and humanity, who is always willing to help. A mother not only to her biological children but to all the children in her neighbourhood,” Deaconess Oni said.
One of Evangelist Adebayo’s daughters, Mrs Ayodeji Michael-Oni, sees her mother as the best mother on earth who is worthy of emulation. A role model who is full of love for all her children and grandchildren, and the only woman who is worthy to be her father’s wife.
According to Pastor Ezekiel Adebayo, the celebrant’s husband, after several other people who came out to give their testimonies recalled his search for his wife from the four corners of Nigeria, how he met her in the church as a fellow chorister and later discovered that they had many things in common. Both of them were fair in completion to the extent that while he was being called “Oyinbo” among the male folks, she was also referred to as “Oyinbo” among the female folks.
They became friends then, two plus two became four, before one plus one eventually became one. Since then, he found her to be his friend, mother, sister, companion, confidant, soulmate and wife.
Pastor Olapade Timothy of CAC Ore Ofe District took the guests through the word of exaltations while Pastor while Pastor Oluwasaye John of CAC Ogo Oluwa District, prayed for the celebrant and his family and all the guests for the grace to continue to live a Godly life and remain raptureable at the end of their earthly race.
