Nigerian forward Christantus Uche delivered a standout performance as Getafe opened their new campaign with a convincing 2-0 win against Celta Vigo.
The 22-year-old was directly involved in both goals, registering an assist and finding the net to seal the victory.
Just two minutes into the second half, Uche created the breakthrough, setting up Adrián Liso, who calmly slotted home to put the visitors in front.
Uche later crowned his display in the 72nd minute, doubling Getafe’s advantage with a well-taken strike.
The win places Getafe fourth on the league table after the opening round of fixtures, giving them an encouraging start to the season.
