Komaiya: Doctors said I wouldn’t live beyond 35

The senior pastor of the Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, has revealed that doctors once told him he would not live beyond the age of 35.

Komaiya, now 54, shared the story on Instagram on Wednesday as he released photos ahead of his 55th birthday.

“My gratitude knows no bounds. I saw bends that looked like ends until God turned things around,” he wrote.

He recounted several close brushes with death, saying his life is evidence of divine mercy.

“I was told medically that I wouldn’t live to be 35 years old, and now I’m just a few days away from 55. I am a product of mercy. God always comes through for me, no matter the battle or my mistakes,” he said.

The cleric added that betrayal, hatred and spiritual attacks had never derailed his destiny.

Reflecting on his ministry, Komaiya described his calling as one of service to the vulnerable.

“Today, God has made me a father to orphans, a succour to widows, an eye to the blind, hope to the hopeless, and light to those in darkness. Only God deserves all the glory,” he said.

Komaiya founded the Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State, in 2007. He pastors the congregation alongside his wife, Esther.
