Kogi will continue to create conducive, safe  environment for businesses to thrive – Commissioner

The Kogi state Commissioner for information and Communication, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has expressed the commitment of the state government in providing a conducive and safe environment for  businesses  to thrive and add value to the state economy.

Fanwo  stated this at the impact tour of Kogi by convergence of Africa held in Lokoja the state capital.

The Commissioner who described the  impact tour of Kogi by convergence of Africa as confluence of opportunities, hinted that the state governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is working assiduously to ensure that Kogi state remains safe for businesses.

He acknowledged that the convergence of Africa trans-generational connections is building alliances and leveraging for a sustainable business future in the state.

According to him,  the business remodeling with target audience in the fashion, food, and fitness will help participants to champion a course aimed at promoting intra regional trade, harmonisation of investment policies for the state and Africans. 

While describing the event as very impactful, he noted that it is a programme that the government  feel will help a lot of business owners  in the state, adding that the programme is one that will take them to the next level in their businesses.

“We encourage them to leverage in networking and collaboration with other business owners, for them to grow their businesses. They are also encouraged on how to network and a handshake across board. No one can do it alone,” he said.

The commissioner stated that the 32 years development plan of the government was deliberate, saying that the maximum any administration can spend is eight  years. 

“But the development plan is designed for 32 years, which means it a very ambitious plan that will ultimately take the state to an enviable height.

“We are very religious about the implementation of the plan. At the end of the day, Kogi will be where we want it to be in terms of development,” Fanwo said.

In her remarks, the Convener of the event , Barrister  Patient Olusiyi, said that the initiative became imperative for sustainable business future, noting that the aim is to capture 150 participants for a sustainable business future in the state.

According to her, Kogi state being the first among ten states to be visited in the country, saying  convergence of Africa will train participants in the fashion, food and fitness businesses aimed at improving their objectives  as well as setting a pace for generations yet unborn to achieve excellence without dependence.
