In a heartwarming gesture of commitment to youth empowerment and talent development, Richie Music Empire has returned to Kogi State to reward the winners of the Kogi Talent Hunt, a life-changing event that took place in December 2024.
Fulfilling the pledge made during the competition, the music label officially handed over the promised cash prizes: ₦3 million to the winner, ₦2 million to the first runner-up, and ₦1 million to the second runner-up, making a total of ₦6 million dedicated to supporting young creatives in Kogi State.
Representing the label’s CEO, Don Richie Ifeanyi Ogbuehi, was Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi of the National Coordinator of the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) who served as the special guest of honour. Also present were Mr. Abiola Stephen, the Record Label Manager, alongside other members of the Richie Music Empire management team, all of whom expressed pride in seeing the brand’s promise fulfilled.
The event was also attended by several leading figures in the entertainment sector in the State, drawing significant attention from the media, with strong representation from various press outlets capturing the joyful moments.
Speaking at the event, Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi of the National Coordinator of the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE), reaffirmed Richie Music Empire’s dedication to discovering and nurturing raw Nigerian talent, especially in regions often overlooked by mainstream entertainment hubs. She emphasized that the gesture was not just about the money but about building confidence, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation of entertainers.
Mr. Abiola Stephen, on behalf of the label, expressed gratitude to Kogi State for its hospitality and the vibrant talents it is churning out, while encouraging the winners to use their platforms responsibly and stay consistent in pursuing their dreams.
