2 weeks ago 7

Apostle Dr. Kanayo Success Uchime, the President, Kingdom Missions Outreach (KMO) Inc, has said that plans have reached an advance stage for the ministry’s 2025 Agric Summit.

Speaking with Sunday Independent from his Ebonyi State base, Apostle Uchime said the programme is for the nation’s missionaries, other ministers and the general public to tackle poverty and hunger in the country, following the current suffering in the country due to the poor economy.

He stressed that the KMO, with its base at 1 Awka Street, off Zik’s Avenue, Opposite UBA, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has been in the forefront of training Nigerians missionaries, impacting them not only spiritually, but also teaching them how to survive hard times in Mission fields.

Apostle Uchime, who with his wife, Pastor Ngozi Uchime, are widely travelled missionaries, appealed for all-round support as the ministry plans for the event.

He said: “Your prayer, financial and emotional support are all we need to mobilise and host participants from various locations, especially the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.”

Apostle Uchime disclosed that the theme for this year’s edition will be, ‘Understanding Great Opportunities In Agricultural Practice’

Uchime, who has been to the Philippines and Thailand as well as several other countries in South East Asia, on missionary journeys, stressed that the major objectives of the summit included sensitising the people on the great need to embark on agriculture/farming as a means of livelihood.

Others, according to him, are: “Providing an alternative income earner (tent-making) for Christian workers (missionaries, church planters etc.),” and “drawing people’s attention to the new innovations in the agricultural sector.

He said the summit is designed for all categories of farmers (crops and livestock); missionaries/Church planters; Heads of Missions in Churches/Mission agencies and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
