Kidnapped PRNigeria’s staff regains freedom after 10 days in captivity

A multimedia journalist with Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential, Salis Manaja, who was kidnapped Wednesday October,13th, has regained his freedom after 10 days in captivity.

Founder IMPR, Mallam Yushau Shuaib, announced this Saturday while speaking with journalists at the sideline of an annual young communication fellowship programme organised by IMPR in Ilorin.

Shuaib said Manaja was abducted by gunmen while on his way to Ilorin, Kwara state, to participate in IMPR’s annual young communication fellowship programme.

The public relations expert said the victim has now reunited with his family after his release.

Manaja was discovered missing when other colleagues arrived in Ilorin for the fellowship and found that the victim had not arrived.

Several attempts to contact him failed as his phone line was unreachable.

Speaking with reporters, Shuaib urged the graduate fellows to continue to tell positive stories about Nigeria, no matter the situation in the country.

Shuaib also urged the Nigeria youth to take advantage of the facilities at the centre to advance their technology and ICT capabilities to measure up with emerging demands in the world of Artificial Intelligence.
