The Kebbi Government has ordered the closure of all public and private secondary schools, as well as all tertiary institutions across the state, with the exception of the College of Nursing Sciences, Birnin Kebbi.
This was contained in a statement jointly issued by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Issa Abubakar-Tunga and Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Halima Bande, in Birnin Kebbi, on Sunday.
The statement said the closure of the secondary schools and state-owned tertiary institutions became necessary following recent attacks in some parts of the state.
