Kano creates own security outfit

Kano state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Tuesday, signed into law the creation of the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch, marking a significant step in the efforts enhance the state’s security framework.

This was made known in a statement by the governor’s social media aide, Salisu Yahaya Hotoro, via his verified Facebook account.

“The establishment of the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch is aimed at bolstering local security and fostering a safer environment for residents across the state,” he stated.

He noted that the new initiative is expected to complement existing security measures and further empower local communities in maintaining peace and order.
