The Bichi Journalists Forum, under the leadership of Alhaji Musa Yahaya Bichi, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Bichi local government, Hon. Hamza Sule Maifata, in Kano state
During the visit, the Chairman of the forum applauded Hon. Maifata for his dedication to human and capital development projects across the local government.
He particularly lauded the scholarship opportunities provided to numerous youth in Bichi and commended the synergy between Hon. Maifata and the member representing Bichi federal constituency, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar.
He described their partnership as “developmental politics” that was transforming Bichi into a model local government area.
The forum further advised the council to reintroduce the house numbering system, noting that it would not only enhance security but also help preserve the history and recognition of notable personalities within the community.
Alhaji Musa Yahaya Bichi, on behalf of the Forum, called for the establishment of a youth employment monitoring committee to ensure fair allocation of job opportunities and to expand access to employment for Bichi youth.
In his response, Hon. Hamza Sule Maifata, expressed appreciation to the forum for its foresight and constructive recommendations.
He assured members that his administration remained open to innovative ideas and initiatives that would contribute to the sustainable development of Bichi local government.
