The Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna between 2016 and 2024, Abraham Alberah Catoh, has resigned from the party.

Catoh, an aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in previous elections, cited the party’s internal crisis as the reason for his action.

In his resignation letter dated Friday, August 29, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Idon Ward, Kajuru Local Government Area of the State, Catoh said the former ruling party is now laden with uncertainties.

“It is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party with immediate effect,” he wrote.

Catoh further disclosed that he would be taking a political sabbatical to concentrate on his private business, while expressing appreciation to the party leadership and members at the ward, local government, state, and national levels for the opportunity to serve in various capacities.

“I wholeheartedly wish to thank the party leadership and members for giving me the opportunity to serve at different levels. I do not take it for granted,” he added.
