Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, has applauded the peaceful atmosphere and rapid development of Gombe. The governor commended efforts of the Gombe state government in creating a conducive environment for growth and progress.

The governor made the commendation while speaking during the opening of a two-day retreat for members of the Jigawa State Executive Council (SEC) and top officials of the state government. He explained that the choice of Gombe for the retreat was driven by a conviction that the state’s development trajectory serves as a valuable model for Jigawa state.

According to him, the retreat is to further enhance synergy, efficiency and to re-orient state’s officials. He added that the retreat also aims to align the state’s vision with the actions of government officials, to ensure a unified approach towards development.

Governor Namadi expressed satisfaction with the quality of facilitators chosen for the retreat, noting that their expertise would provide valuable insights to address governance challenges and enhance service delivery in the state.

Meanwhile, in a goodwill message, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state, gave insights into his administration’s strides, outlining key milestones of his administration in Gombe.

He said, “As we come together to explore innovative governance and transformative leadership, I am reminded of the importance of peer learning and the sharing of best practices. In Gombe State, we have also made significant strides in various sectors, and I am confident that some of our experiences could provide valuable lessons and inspirations for Jigawa State”.

Governor Yahaya equally commended his counterpart of Jigawa state saying, “Your Excellency, since assuming office on May 29 2023, you have demonstrated exceptional leadership and a clear vision for Jigawa State.

“Your 12-point agenda, which touches on critical areas such as agriculture, education, healthcare, investment promotion, ICT, and human capital development among others, is a bold and comprehensive roadmap for transforming Jigawa State into a model of sustainable development,” Governor Yahaya said.
