Jamie Vardy has selected his new shirt number at Serie A club Cremonese, ending his 13-year association with the No.9 jersey worn at Leicester City.
The 37-year-old striker, who joined the newly-promoted side as a free agent on transfer deadline day, will wear the No.10 shirt in his debut season in Italy, as Cremonese’s No.9 remains with Manuel De Luca.
The club also confirmed numbers for other summer arrivals: Faris Moumbagna (No.14), Jeremy Sarmiento (No.19), and Mikayil Faye (No.30).
Cremonese, promoted from Serie B through last season’s play-offs, were among the busiest clubs in the Italian transfer market.
Alongside Vardy, the club secured permanent signings of Federico Baschirotto, Jari Vandeputte, Antonio Sanabria, Giuseppe Pezzella, Andrea Fulignati, and Marco Silvestri.
They also strengthened with several loan deals, including Martin Payero, Warren Bondo, Filippo Terracciano, Alessio Zerbin, Sarmiento, Faye, Emil Audero, and Romano Floriani Mussolini.
