The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reactivated the portal for the 2025 WAEC result uploading on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). This follows the earlier closure of the portal for technical adjustments.
In a statement by JAMB on its X (formerly Twitter) page, the board directed candidates who sat for the 2025 WAEC and UTME examinations to upload their results on the JAMB CAPS.
“Dear UTME candidates, this is to notify you that upload of the 2025 WAEC result has been reactivated. Kindly visit any of our accredited facilities near you to access the service. Thank you,” the statement reads.
The board had suspended activities on the portal last week due to a technical glitch in the 2025 WAEC results uploading section. According to Jamb, the development was to address the issue with those who had previously uploaded the initially released result.
Candidates who sat for UTME 2025 and are seeking admission into universities, polytechnics or colleges of education nationwide are expected to take action and upload their WAEC results on the JAMB CAPS portal.

The JAMB CAPS is an online platform developed by the examination board to streamline and manage the admission process into tertiary institutions. The system allows candidates to upload their WAEC/NECO results, check their admission status, accept or reject offers, and manage their admission information in one place.
JAMB CAPS serves as a bridge and a process from having a UTME score to applying to an institution of choice, taking post-UTME or screening and finally getting admitted.
Introduced during the 2017/2018 session, with full implementation in the 2018/2019 admission exercise, JAMB CAPS was launched to automate the admission process, empower candidates with information on choice of institutions and choice of course. Other goals are to eliminate multiple admissions, ensure fair selection and restore tertiary institutions’ autonomy concerning admission management.

How to upload your O-level results on JAMB CAPS
The JAMB CAPS is best accessed using a PC, Laptop or Tablet because it requires the desktop mode view. But if you don’t have any of these devices, you can still access the portal using your smartphone.
Uploading of O-level results on the portal is essential as it is needed for verification of the course by your institution of choice.
Step 1: Go to the JAMB E-facility portal.
Step 2: Supply your Email Address and Password in the required columns and then log in.
If you are using a mobile device, it’s advisable to switch to desktop mode for improved user experience. To switch, click on the three dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser and switch to desktop mode.
Step 3: Click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ and navigate to your JAMB CAPS profile.
Step 4: Select ‘Upload O-level Result’ on your dashboard.
Step 5: Enter your results by carefully inputting your subjects and corresponding grades.
Step 6: After entering all required information and you’ve cross-checked, click ‘Submit’ to upload your results.
It’s advisable to frequently check the portal and be sure the O-level result you uploaded remains intact. Although nothing tampers with the result once successfully uploaded, aside from a technical glitch occurring on the portal. And if such happens, the board will communicate and issue the next line of action.
