Iya Wale Passes On: Nollywood Mourns With Actress Biola Adebayo 

 Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo has announced the passing of her mother, Mrs. Fatima Adebayo. 

In a heartfelt statement released on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Adebayo shared the news of her mother’s demise, stating, “With a heavy heart and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Fatima Adebayo, who departed this world on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2025.” 

Fondly known as Iya Wale, Mrs. Adebayo lived a life dedicated to love, kindness, and wisdom. She was a source of strength and guidance for her family and will be deeply missed. 

The statement concluded by announcing that the 8th Day Fidau prayers will be held next week to honour her memory. 

“May Allah grant her eternal rest and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus,” the statement read. 

This news has saddened the Nigerian entertainment industry, and many colleagues and fans have expressed their condolences to Adebayo and her family during this difficult time.
