Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has lavished praises on Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, DAILY POST reports.
Chelle took charge of the three-time African champions in January.
The Malian resurrected Nigeria’s World Cup dream after a poor start to the qualifying series.
Under Chelle, the Super Eagles are unbeaten in six competitive games, four wins and two draws.
Iwobi said the gaffer has created a positive atmosphere around the team.
“He’s such a great man. We almost don’t see him as like a manager, but like a big brother. He’s created a big brotherhood,”Iwobi told BBC Sport Africa.
“You see him on the touchline. He gets heated – he’s literally trying to fight for us.
“It motivates us, that we want to play not just for Nigeria but for him as well.”
