It’s A Team Game –Owen Faults Salah’s Outburst

Former England international Michael Owen has faulted Liverpool star Mohamed Salah’s outburst against manager Arne Slot.

Following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United, where Salah was an unused substitute for the third consecutive game, he spoke to reporters to air his frustrations.

Salah revealed his relationship with head coach Arne Slot had deteriorated.

However, reacting to the development, Owen stated that the Egyptian star shouldn’t complain but focus on representing his country at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

“Oh Mo Salah. I can imagine how you feel. You’ve carried this team for a long time and won everything there is to win.

“But this is a team game and you simply can’t publicly say what you’ve said.

“You’re going to Afcon in a week. Surely you bite your lip, enjoy representing your country and see how the land lies when you get back?”
