…Holds Competition  

As part of contribution towards developing sustainable and renewable energy solutions in Nigeria, Iranlowo Foundation is partnering Yaba College of Technology to organise a technology based competition for students of higher learning.

The competition which comes under the theme, “Simple solar solution for industry’’ aimed to  inspire and identify innovative thinkers who can create impactful ideas that go beyond theory- solutions and that can positively transform local communities, contribute to national progress, and ultimately influence the global pursuit of clean and reliable energy.According to a statement made available to the media by the organisers of the competition, the event targeted the youths because they represent the future of innovation, leadership, and community development.The release reads in parts “Recently, there has been a noticeable decline in college enrollment and a growing skepticism about the value of higher education.“By engaging young people in this competition, we aim to encourage them to pursue education, showcase the importance of research, and highlight how their ideas can spark real change in their communities and across the country.“Ultimately, we want to inspire youth to believe in their dreams, pursue them with confidence, and recognise that their contributions can make a lasting impact’’.On the impact of the competition on the participants, the organisers in the released said: “The competition is designed to have a meaningful impact on youth by not only giving them a platform to showcase their innovative ideas, but also by recognising and rewarding their efforts.“By compensating the top three groups, we provide both encouragement and tangible support that validates their hard work.“Beyond the prizes, the competition empowers young people to see the value of their education, motivates them to pursue their passions, and demonstrates that their ideas can lead to real opportunities and meaningful change in their communities and beyond’’.
