Following mounting frustration among applicants unable to access the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment portal, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has ordered an immediate fix of the technical issues disrupting the process.
Thousands of applicants seeking employment in the paramilitary agencies under the Ministry of Interior had taken to social media to complain about difficulties in checking their application status.
Responding to the complaints, Dr. Tunji-Ojo directed the Secretary of the CDCFIB to ensure that all updates and uploads on the portal were completed without further delay.
He said, “Following recent complaints from applicants who are still unable to confirm their status due to ongoing data uploads, I have directed the Secretary of the CDCFIB to ensure all uploads are completed immediately,” the minister stated.
The board had earlier announced that candidates could begin checking their recruitment status on Friday. However, several users reported that the portal either failed to load after logging in or displayed incorrect job categories.
Findings by LEADERSHIP indicated that the system has started responding intermittently, with some applicants who were previously locked out now able to access their profiles.
The Ministry of Interior has assured the public that the issues will be fully resolved soon to guarantee a smooth and transparent recruitment process.
