Indigenes of communities within Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, who fled their homes over activities of insurgents posing as freedom fighters have started returning home.
For about five years, some communities in the area were taken completely by the insurgents who imposed fines before any family could hold marriages or burial ceremonies.
But recently, operatives of the Nigerian Army, working with personnel of other security agencies, renewed their onslaught on the criminals and finally routed insurgents out, including their captured commander, Mr Ifeanyi Okorienta, also known as Gentle de Yahoo, leading to the cleansing of most captured areas.
