The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris Malagi has donated the sum of N100 million cash to the Niger-South Senatorial District to facilitate a smooth conduct of the November 1st, 2025 Local Government Council election in the state.

The federal government is not wayching helplessly as armed bandits sustain inwards encroachments into the interior part of Niger state, zone ‘C’ (Niger-North) Senatorial Zone in particular, as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have expressed commitments to ensure safety of lives and properties of Nigerians.
The Minister announced the donation during an interactive session with stakeholders ahead of the coming LGC election/the inauguration of APC Campaign Council for Bida Local Government.
While encouraging politicians on the need to eschew bitterness by adhering to the rules of the game, Malagi reminded them that election is a game of numbers in which at the end of it all winners and losers would emerge, hence the need to be ready to accept the outcome in good faith.
Malagi who is also the Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the grassroots level election in the state said, N10 million out of the sum should be shared across the eight LGAs that made up the zone; Bida, Agaie, Lapai, Katcha, Edati, Mokwa, Lavun and Gbako, while the remaining N20 million should be shared to women and youths in the areas.
Meanwhile, the Minister has expressed sadness over recent attacks in Niger North Senatorial Zone by armed bandits, and reaffirmed commitments of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration to ensure the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians at all times.
This is a statement of fact that had remain sacrosanct to the administration of President Tinubu, adding that security agencies will do everything possible to guarantee the safety of lives and properties of people of Niger state and Nigeria as a whole.
