The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has recognised the new leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC led by Senator David Mark.
The leadership of the party has been an issue since the coalition championed by former Vice president Atiku Abubakar and other politicians across the country took over the ADC.
While the Party leadership and its spokesman, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, had insisted that there was no cause for alarm, some Nigerians had been worried about the development.

Last week, some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were at INEC over the development.
After the meeting, Abdullahi told Daily Trust that the meeting was in order and the parties understood each other and what needed to be done.
