The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) launched the in-person phase of its Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise across Nigeria on Monday, August 25, 2025, a key step toward the 2027 general elections.
This follows the online pre-registration phase, which began on August 18.INEC announced the development via its official X handle, urging eligible Nigerians to complete their registration.
The post stated: “In-person Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) starts today, Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday to Friday). Note: If you have already completed your online pre-registration, kindly proceed to the INEC State Head Office or the INEC LGA office in your place of residence to complete your registration.”
The exercise, running weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, aims to ensure all eligible voters are registered ahead of the 2027 polls.
INEC encouraged citizens to visit its official portal for further details and to locate registration centers, emphasizing the importance of participation in shaping Nigeria’s democratic future.
