He said: “The promotion of junior staff concludes the first phase of the exercise. Next is the promotion of senior staff, which has also commenced in earnest.”

The commission also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Anambra State governorship election, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, and the conduct of party primaries for the Ekiti and Osun governorship polls.

Olumekun explained that staff promotion remained a merit-based and regular exercise.

“We are committed to ensuring that hardworking staff are recognized and rewarded.

“This not only boosts morale but also strengthens our capacity to deliver credible elections,” he added.

He urged the newly promoted staff to see the development as a call to greater service.

“Promotion comes with higher responsibility. We expect our staff, particularly those handling election-related duties, to rededicate themselves to excellence, impartiality, and professionalism,” Olumekun stated.
