Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma says he is accountable for
any action or inaction of his Government while trying to offer credible
leadership for overall welfare of the State.
The Governor made the assertion at Government House Chapel
while attending church service to mark Nigeria 65th Independence Anniversary.
Uzodinma added that he is grateful to God for the
opportunity to govern the State and pledged to remain accountable for his
actions and inactions as the Governor.
He maintained that Nigeria is richly blessed with natural
resources but still yearning for productive utilization for economic recovery
and livelihoods.
Uzodinma said the government had decided that a lot of
things must change, saying that the old way of doing things must give way for
the new order to take place as citizens cannot be suffering in the midst of
plenty.
“I urge all to agree to move forward and not recline on the
past.
“The old order is gone. They are gradually and incrementally
giving way to the new order.
“We must work. We must be busy. An idle mind is the devil’s
workshop. If you must be tempted; remain idle. A busy mind is a productive
mind,” the governor said.
