Liverpool boss Arne Slot has disclosed that he will unleash the duo of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike against Everton in Saturday’s Premier League clash.
Recall that Isak moved to Liverpool from Newcastle in a British record deal on Deadline Day, just over a month after Ekitike, 23, joined from Eintracht Frankfurt for £79 million.
Speaking with TribalFootball, the Dutch tactician stated that he can deploy Isak and Ekitike against their Merseyside rivals.

“I consider many things and it depends always on how well they are doing. If both of them are in the best form of their life then you consider more to play them together but it is quite clear that we have a certain structure of 4-3-3 but the amount of times the end phase where we have ended the game with two nines has happened a lot as well.
“Hugo can play from the left, different from the way Cody (Gakpo) and Rio (Ngumoha) do this and that’s the good thing about our squad. We have multiple options but first of all they all have to stay fit to have these options. If all of them are not fit then we may have to use them both in a 4-4-2 but that all depends on the form of them and how many players we have available.”
Sitting top of the Premier League as the only team with a maximum 12 points, Liverpool will attempt to win each of this first five matches at the start of a Premier League campaign for just the third time.
