The former Chairman of Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Honourable Frank Ilaboya has been appointed head Media/Publicity Committee by the National Association of Ex- Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ASELGON).
A statement by Babatunde Adekoya, Special Adviser to the National President, Albert Asipa, announced the appointment of Ilaboya alongside other six members to spearhead the publicity drive of the association.
Other members of the Committee are Bode Agbeleye – Vice Chairman, Iro Njobali, Oliver Wubon and Destiny Enabulele.
Others are Hon Bako Zamwawozayi while Oladare Ogunsola former Chairman, Oyo State Correspondents’ Chapel will serve as Consultant.
According to the ASELGON President, Ilaboya’s appointment is due to his extensive media capacity and network in Nigeria.
“We are confident that Ilaboya and his team will help the association drive the needed publicity in the media space and put ASELGON in her rightful position in Nigeria.
“We need to begin to assert our vision to the general public and that is why we did a careful selection of individuals that we trust will deliver,” Hon Asipa further added.
In his own reaction, Ilaboya, who is also the Chairman of the Edo State chapter of ASELGON promises to use his extensive media network to propagate the ideals of ASELGON nationwide.
“This assignment is a call to duty and will give it my best shot as always. Good enough, others members are also well versed in the media industry and this will no doubt make our job simple.
“I therefore want to express my deep appreciation to the National President and his team for finding us worthy of this all-important assignment, we promise to deliver.”
The inauguration of the Committee comes up in Abuja tomorrow.
