IGP lays foundation for new conference centre at Lagos Police Command

The Lagos state Police Command witnessed a landmark event on Friday as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Olukayode Egbetokun, laid the foundation for a new facility named IGP Adeolu Olukayode Egbetokun Conference Centre.

The edifice, situated at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, was conceived as a world-class multipurpose facility aimed to serve as a “strategic hub for high-level security deliberations, inter-agency coordination, policy engagements, press conferences, and capacity-building programmes.”

In his remarks, IGP Egbetokun commended the Command under the leadership of Commissioner of Police (CP) Olohundare Jimoh for its exemplary performance, administrative excellence, and operational efficiency.

He urged other state Commands across the federation to emulate the Lagos Command’s “dedication to innovation, discipline, and infrastructure development, noting that “these initiatives are vital to achieving a more responsive and technologically driven Police Force.”
