Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on the Igbo community in Adamawa State to remain united in the interest of the state and the country at large.

The Governor made the call when the Igbo community, led by Eze Ndigbo, Chief Godwin Omenaka III, paid him a courtesy visit at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yola.

Fintiri assured the visitors that his administration is committed to building an Adamawa State that stands united, while urging them to feel at home in the state.

In his remarks, Eze Ndigbo, Chief Igwe Godwin Omenaka III, commended the Governor for his continuous support of Igbo cultural activities and pledged the community’s loyalty to his administration.

Also speaking, the President-General of the Igbo Cultural Association, Chief Emmanuel Nwabueze Aneke, said the courtesy visit was to appreciate the Governor for his unwavering commitment to the development of the state, which, he noted, has brought significant improvements in the lives of citizens.

He further appealed to the Governor to consider political appointments and employment opportunities for members of the Igbo community. Aneke also reminded him of an earlier land allocation to the association for the establishment of a Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Centre, which he said would contribute to the state’s growth.
