AWKA – Despite attempts by some skit makers and content creators to undermine the intentions of the Anambra State Government towards her citizens as evident in what may be described as malicious contents and videos intended to portray government in bad light, Idemili-South Local government has taken care of the medical bills of the victims of Udo Ga Chi’s sporadic shootings in Ojoto during a massive chase for a criminal element in the area recently.

It would be recalled that a certain content creator made a video of himself at Immaculate Heart Hospital Nkpor where he visited some of the victims, including a newborn baby affected by the chaos and requested the Udo Ga Chi team to expedite actions and ensure that the hospital bills of the victims were paid and comprehensive treatments administered on them to save their lives.

Idemili-South Local Government chairman, Dr. Mrs. Amaka Obi, said she personally ensured that the victims got adequate medical attention and all expenses paid by the government contrary to the intent of content creators.

Obi told Daily Independent exclusively that the officers involved in the shooting including the Divisional Police Officer Nnobi Police Division are currently in custody for the mayhem unleashed on the citizens.

Obi also disclosed that the victims have been discharged from the hospital after she saw to it that they got appropriate medical care and attention; describing the incident as unfortunate.

She equally stated that the medical bills of the newborn baby that was affected in the fracas have also been paid and that the baby responded to treatment as confirmed by the doctor on duty while the culprits who caused the shooting has been apprehended by the police.
