Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has clarified the recent reports regarding the death of Ibrahim Chatta’s son.
The actor had caused widespread concern online on Saturday when he announced the loss of a son.
Opeyemi took to Instagram on Sunday to offer her condolences, urging Ibrahim to stay strong and praying, “May Allah grant him and his family all that’s required to bear the painful loss.”

However, Opeyemi later clarified that Ibrahim did not lose his biological son, but his godson, who he considers like a son. She described the situation as deeply emotional and prayed for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace.
“Ibrahim Chatta didn’t lose his biological son but a godson, who is also like a son to him. May his pure soul continue to rest peacefully. Oluwa shanu wa, bawa da wo iku odo duro. It’s been an extremely emotional ride so far. God have mercy. Lord, have mercy on us all and heal the world,” she wrote.
A check by Information Nigeria on Ibrahim’s Instagram page revealed that he had updated his post to indicate that it was his godson, not his biological son, who passed away.
