Governor Uba Sani Vows to Complete All Projects, Launches Road Construction in Rigasa and Tudun WadaKaduna State Governor Uba Sani has reaffirmed his commitment to completing all projects initiated by his administration, ensuring no contract is abandoned.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for township roads in Rigasa ward, Igabi Local Government Area, on Friday, Sani emphasized that the projects would be funded without loans and contractors delivering on time would be paid promptly.
Addressing the audience in Hausa, the governor announced that four road projects in Rigasa, awarded to China Civil Engineering Corporation (CCEC), are set for completion within a year, with 50% mobilization funds already disbursed.
Sani outlined his vision to transform Rigasa, one of Nigeria’s largest wards, into a modern township with quality infrastructure, citing its historical neglect despite its large population and proximity to Kaduna city.
He noted that Rigasa contributed 32.06% of Igabi’s votes in the 2023 election, underscoring the ward’s significance.
“These roads will enhance livelihoods for thousands of households engaged in farming, business, and civil service,” Sani said, describing the event as a step toward rewarding hard work and creating opportunities.
The governor also launched the reconstruction of Zango road in Tudun Wada ward, Kaduna South LGA, a project he described as personal due to his time as a student at Kaduna Polytechnic.
He decried the neglect of Tudun Wada, an area with significant economic activity but poor road conditions.
The Zango road connects key institutions and markets, including Zango Cattle Market, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi College, and the School of Health Technology, linking to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Western By-Pass.
Under his Rural Revitalisation Agenda, Sani highlighted that 85 roads spanning 785km have been initiated in the first phase, with 44 completed.
The second phase will deliver over 50 additional roads and bridges covering 550km, further advancing infrastructure development across Kaduna State.
