Celebrity chef Hilda Baci, the previous holder of the Guinness World Record for marathon cooking, with 93 hours and 11 minutes in May 2023, has revealed her plan for her next Guinness World Record attempt.
This time, partnering with the popular tomato paste brand Gino, she intends to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Pot of Nigerian Jollof Rice, inviting Nigerians to witness her attempt.
Since August 22, 2025, she has been slowly unveiling details about the attempt, which involves cooking Jollof rice, the “heartbeat of West Africa”, in a pot with an estimated size of 6 meters by 6 meters.
The attempt will be held on September 12, 2025, the Gino World Jollof Day and her recent videos have shown the steps she has been taking to achieve her enormous goal.
Snippets on her Instagram page have shown the various steps involved in breaking such a record, from creating the custom pot to gathering the people who will help her achieve the feat.
Her latest video, posted today, revealed the math behind the cooking. In it, she explained just how many bags of rice would be needed to fill the massive pot, asking her audience to guess in the comments section of the video.
