“I love Galatasaray”- Victor Osimhen sends message to potential suitors after Fenerbahce draw

3 hours ago 29

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has insisted he loves Galatasaray and chose to stay at the club during the January transfer window despite speculations linking him with an exit, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has had an impressive start to life since he joined Galatasaray in a season-long loan last year. The 25-year-old Super Eagles has registered 20 goals and five assists in 26 appearance for the Lions this season.

However, there have been speculations surrounding his future. The Super Eagles star has constantly been linked with top clubs like PSG, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

During the winter transfer window, Osimhen was heavily linked with a transfer to United following their appointment of Ruben Amorim. But nothing concrete emerged from those talks.

Osimhen failed to score against Fenerbahce when they clashed with Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday. And he was asked about the possibility.

“To be honest I don’t know. You know the last few months, nobody ever thought I would come here, I never believed I would come to Galatasaray despite how big they are,” Osimhen said, per Buchi Laba

“I live for the moment. I don’t know what will happen in the summer, but I want everybody to understand that I really love this club.

“I love the fans, I love the President, I love everyone associated with the club. It’s really a big deal to be here and I’m really enjoying my time here.”

Victor Osimhen has had a good season with Galatasaray. He is on the road to silverware as Galatasaray currently sit first, six points ahead of Fenerbahce who follow closely.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have 12 games left before the end of the season. For sure, they will have a go at it before the end of the campaign.

The Super Eagles star will have an important role to play this season. If he continues to score goals for the Lions, they will likely claim a third straight title.
